Why Do We Get Acne?
People get acne for a variety of reasons, and there are many theories about why some people get it and why others do not. The main theory is that it comes from things that a person eats. However, there really isn’t any scientific proof to that. Sure, if you have a very sugary or very fatty diet you might see more acne, but that’s because of general, overall health that goes with this kind of diet, not because of the specific foods that you are consuming. Vegetarians can get acne, too, and so can people who are on strict and specific diets, so there is no real truth to diet being the direct cause of a particular person’s acne. Making an effort to eat healthier, though, certainly cannot hurt anything and may help to clear up a person’s skin.
Other people say that acne is genetic, and there may be some truth to this. There are people out there who seem to be more susceptible to acne no matter what they do with their diet, exercise regimen, or anything else. However, even if your genetics didn’t give you great skin there are ways that you can try to combat that and take better care of the skin that you do have, so that you have the best chance of clearing up your acne.
Another reason that people can get acne is because they don’t keep their skin clean, and that means inside and out. From the inside the way to keep your skin clean is to drink a lot of water and eat well. That helps to keep toxins flushed out of your body and ensures that you’re doing the most to try to keep yourself healthy. While diet may not be a direct cause of acne, it is important to try to stay healthy when you are trying to battle acne. Your skin is the biggest organ on your body, and it will respond to a healthy diet.
From the outside, keeping your skin clean is vital, and people who don’t do that are much more prone to acne. Dirt and oil build up on their skin and when it doesn’t get washed back off, their skin starts to struggle with the germs and bacteria that the dirt contains. As that accumulates, acne can start. If you want to avoid acne or clear up any acne that you have, keeping your skin clean is the best way to handle it. It won’t always keep you acne free, but it’ll help to keep your acne as minimal as possible.
